Our Team
About Berkeley Credit
A direct, principal bridging lender in the heart of Mayfair.
We lend our own capital for business and investment purposes across England and Wales — with same-day decisions in principle and certainty of terms from first quote to completion.
Who we are
Dependability in a sector that too often trades quality for speed.
Berkeley Credit is a direct, principal bridging lender based in Mayfair. As part of the Brunel Estates group, we lend our own capital and make our own credit decisions — so our lending focuses on the strength of the asset and the clarity of the exit, not lengthy affordability assessments.
Our founders established the firm to bring dependability to short-term property finance. Because we lend as principal, borrowers get quick answers and quotes that stay consistent from day one through to completion.
Every loan is evaluated on an asset-led basis — real valuations and confirmed, achievable exits — and carries a single, properly registered legal charge with transparent terms.
Principal capital
We lend our own money and answer to no external credit committee — which is why we can give a same-day decision in principle and certainty of terms.
Asset-led decisions
Actual valuations and confirmed, achievable exits drive our lending — not box-ticking affordability assessments.
Transparent terms
Single, properly registered legal charges with clear terms. The quote you receive on day one is the quote you complete on.
Who we lend to
The cases others hesitate over.
We serve property investors, businesses, corporates and offshore borrowers, including property held through companies, trusts and partnerships — frequently via broker introductions. We're known for taking on adverse credit, complex ownership and time-critical deals.
